    Cleaning my workspace always helps.
I’d add hang out with 4-8 year old children for an afternoon of imaginative strength building

Baking a loaf of bread (kneading the dough by hand) always helps me to access my right-brain. Enjoyed the video, too!

I find it helps to let “problems” simmer without dwelling on them. Their solutions come to me when I don’t try to force it. Which would lead to my favorite way to stay creative: Pray a lot. The God who created everything from geckos to black holes can surely solve my little plotting problems.

I liked the suggestion about listening to new music. Each of my books seems to “require” a different style of music.

I’d add “Read poetry.” It’s much more interesting than a page of the dictionary and often has the same effect on my awareness of words.
